Gambit provides an intuitive and user-friendly platform for trading Bits, with easy access via crypto wallets, social sign-ins, and multiple payment methods.
The trading of Esports Bits takes place on Gambit Finance, a platform dedicated to trading Esports players’ Bits. Accessible via Gambit Finance, the platform provides a detailed overview of Esports players, including their tournament performances, stats, and recent match history. This data allows traders to find and evaluate players with potential throughout the tournament season.
To purchase Bits, users can connect their crypto wallets (e.g., MetaMask) or sign up using their X (formerly Twitter) account or Google email. Gambit supports payments in crypto tokens, credit cards, and cross-chain bridging to ensure seamless transactions. The platform provides comprehensive statistics on player performance, tournament history, and market trends, empowering traders to make informed decisions.
To sell a player’s Bit, traders can visit their profile on the Gambit Finance Dashboard. There, traders will see a list of all the Bits they own and can choose to sell their holdings. The value of each Bit depends on a combination of factors, including the player’s recent performances, current demand, and the number of active Bit holders. This dynamic pricing mechanism enables holders to strategize their trades for potential profits.
In each supported Esport tournament, we allocate a prize pool for traders to win. But instead of only rewarding the top leaderboard rankings, Gambit introduces a unique rewards mechanism that continuously benefits Bit holders during esports tournaments.
Here’s how it works:
Auto-Buy: When a team wins, the prize pool is used to automatically buy Bits of the winning players, increasing their value.
Auto-Sell: Simultaneously, 20% of the losing team’s players’ Bits, held by the Treasury, are sold, with funds reallocated to the prize pool. This dynamic approach creates a fluid and sustainable rewards system that encourages traders to support winning players.
This dynamic rewards system encourages traders to back winning players and teams, as their Bits values will increase with victories, offering multiple chances to earn across a medium to long term horizon, much like the price of blue chip asset classes like Whisky, wines and watches.
Gambit Finance incentivizes long-term holding through a carefully structured fee model:
Buying Fee: 3%
Selling Fee: 12%
These fees fund the prize pools for tournaments, allowing traders to benefit from their successful trades. The higher selling fee is designed to encourage users to hold their Bits, promoting sustainable trading and ensuring value growth for dedicated participants.
Put differently, much like any liquidity pool, the fees are designed to reward people who add liquidity into the system, and pay a fee for extracting liquidity.
Each tournament on Gambit Finance features an allocated prize pool to reward traders who make smart investments. This prize pool is funded through:
Fees: Generated from the buying and selling of players' Bits on the platform.
Sponsorship: Contributions from partners and Gambit Finance’s Treasury.
Prize pools are used to reward traders through the counpounder’s auto-buy system, ensuring that winning players’ Bits increase in value as tournament activity escalates.
